Pastor Peter – Chips in the story – switches destinations. Logistics has Chips and Stone headed towards Andrews AFB over the coast of the outer shore just north of Accomac, Virginia. Neutralize these offices and you decapitate the beast. Badger (Qinetiq-MI5) Out.” The HMX1 got airborne, made a beeline for Dulles International Airport. Heifer handed Chips a first class boarding pass and the passenger beside him removes a wig and a mask and he realizes his seatmate in 2A was not Heifer at all and he was thankful that he spoke Urdu, Gondi and Farsi.

As Chips guided the F4 out of the top of the thunderstorm he rolled it inverted and 'sliced back' to his right to rejoin in formation with the EITAM. He spoke to his son about the eerie silence in the Phantom's cockpit. "Stone, it got real quiet because the air conditioning system couldn't handle the rapid increase in moisture inside the thunderstorm so ice formed in the system. However, I have selected 'manual hot and full forward' on the cabin pressure temperature controller and you can expect a sudden increase in airflow and hot air very soon. I will kill the heat once we have the airflow re-established, capeche?"
"No sweat Dad, I thought it was great. And as far as tolerating the 'heat' I'd rather be in a Phantom with you than be a Clinton-Rubin’s principal with you in an incorruptible
courtroom" responded the soon to be sweaty Stone Kohl. As the surge of air brought forth a pelting of small ice particles and the aforementioned hot air, the pressure and flow stabilized and comfort was restored.
"Ramon, BDA check for 'Pharoah's Phantom please" asked Chips as he put the F4 on the right wing of the EITAM.
"Mission accomplished Chips, Pharoah paint all gone and NX749CF has replaced 64-0970 as the registration". Ramon's comments indicated in its current paint the F4 now looked like the Collins Foundation F4 that operates out of Houston, Texas.
"Did you guys have the courtesy of putting Pastor Peter or Chips on the forward canopy rails?"
"Negative Chips, the front says 'Capt Ritchie' and the back says 'Capt DeBellevue' " responded Ramon from the comfort of the EITAM's right seat. As that message was relayed Hamish leaned forward into the cockpit and waved his Clipper Sherlock Pipe in the right-side cockpit window. Seeing Hamish's stern look Chips backed out into 'fighting wing' formation and turned the F4 over to Stone with the same instructions as before. As Stone took control of the F4 from the aft cockpit an 'immediate' Clipper call was annunciated on Chip's radar screen.
"Chips, 30 West, secure, go ahead Dancer".

"Chips, you will get this from EITAM in printed format in 2 minutes but your mission is changed. Rather than drop EITAM at the marker for Andrews AFB you are to land with Moshe and go to the 4th Special Missions Wing hangar. There Dirtball will take the Phantom to Milwaukee with Stone and you will join Marshal Tucker for a quick trip to Amsterdam. Something big just became known and you and I will be counseling with Badger and Spanner. More details to follow, the AMS briefing will take place at "The Balls" or the "The Bubbles" and will be short, very short. You have a trip to your favorite shopping center in your future as "Operation Kittyhawk" is rolled out." Dancer obviously had much more to say if she was leaving Tel Aviv to have a beer at the Bubbles or Balls in the Schiphol Airport. A very light vibration was felt near Chip's right elbow and he looked down at the Airbus printer the Israelis had put in the AQFB27I C&C suite of the Phantom. Chips could see the routing of the message was 'Moshe-Chips' with 5 CCs.
"Roger that Dancer, message coming now. See you at the Bubbles or Balls, please wear something colorful that doesn't clash with yellow or pink". Dancer understood that the rendezvous would now be at the "Balls" regardless of any future messages indicating "Bubbles".
As Chips looked down at the printer, he saw the green light blink twice indicating a full message had been received and printed. He turned his microphone on the 'hot mic' and mentioned to Stone that he just got a message. As Stone kept the F4 in fighting wing Chips read:
"SEADS has just launched the 'Green Mountain Boys' to join EITAM and Pharoah at 38-30 North and 70 West. Upset 52 is loitering at 35 North and 45 West. Following AR with UPSET push it up to join Green Mountain Boys ASAP. EITAM full power authorized. HMX1 awaits at 4th Special Air Missions ramp. AMRAAM/Sidewinder only. EMCON AR. Do not reply." Chips saw that the message came from Langley AFB, Virginia and SEADS Combat Center simultaneously. He saw that the message was sent to the SOF at Det One, EITAM, himself, Moose and Dancer only. He was confidant that UPSET 52 got a similar message regarding the silent refueling. As he finished reading the message he heard a single mic click on UHF and looked over at Moshe who was making a drinking motion with his right hand. Chips checked his fuel status and seeing that he had 5000# more than required he visually responded with an open hand showing 5 digits. EITAM also must have been in good shape fuel wise as the G550 platform accelerated noticeably and started a shallow decent from 39,000 feet. Stone hung in there with EITAM while Chips dialed his Clipper to Hamish and Dancer. The green LEDs blinked twice. "Hamish, Dancer Chips at 42 West".

"Unless you both disagree I suggest we swap out Marshall Tucker and replace with Heifer. Badger and Heifer should be in the boarding area at National awaiting the departure to Milwaukee in about 30 minutes. Marshall Tucker may agree to stand in for Heifer at the Free Concert with Clinton Reubens but I think Heifer would be a better fit for the Grolsch event in Amsterdam".
"Hamish concurs".
"Dancer concurs, consider it done. Heifer will be at the 4th SAM waiting for you for the HMX1 lift to Dulles. Dancer, out".

"Chips out". As the green LEDs faded slowly Chips slaved his Phantom's radar screen to EITAMs defensive sensor operators console. He saw UPSET 52 indicated at 135 miles, straight west.
"Ramon, Chips, turn the tanker". Ramon nodded in the right seat of the EITAM and Moshe adjusted course slightly to the right to achieve a 180 degree intercept.
"Stone, hold what you've got, I am getting another printout, this one from Hamish, watch for UPSET as we will be joined in 8 minutes, give me a wakeup call in 6 minutes if I am still reading".
"Roger that, Dad".
Chips waited for the 3 blinking lights to indicate all 3 pages have been successfully printed. He wished that Airbus would have made the print bigger but at least it was a great printer, even if he did have to put on his reading glasses again. He also knew that this Airbus printer didn't 'tattle' to the company dispatch centers such as the airline printers were required to in the interest of aviation safety. He wished that the FAA and USDOJ took airline safety as seriously as Quiet Rockland and HawksCAFE-Abel Danger. But then again, he might as well wish that pigs could fly.
Chips, destination swap complete. We have "Sidley Austined" a message from GD and GCGA indicating that the 'usual suspects' are extorting either prospective winner of next month's election, most likely the fist-saluting abortionist. Regardless the outcome of the election, we have intercepted some notes regarding a diversion in India, more details at the Balls. Seems like the Condi-Clinton women running the Office of Population and Reproductive Health wish to make a statement regarding 'payback' for nations not in line with CO2 cutbacks or population edicts. Seems your sister's boss is in the cross hairs and is being forced to sell. USAID and / or Clinton Rubins potential suitors. Full briefing tomorrow at the Balls but mull over Soros’s Project Phoenix, Oberoi Tower and Operation Kittyhawk. I will meet you in the HMX1 vehicle with a full printed briefing and Dancer has already provided a second copy to Heifer who is now enroute to KADW and the 4th SAM, Hamish. As Chips was mentally googling Project Phoenix, Oberoi Tower and Operation Kittyhawk he made an assumption. He was about ready to send his response to Hamish when he heard Moshe's voice over UHF "turn the tanker, fence check, emitters". As Ramon, Chips and the DSO aboard EITAM shutdown unnecessary emitters and safed the weapons, EITAM went directly to the boom as Stone flew to the right observation position.
Chips saw a brief spray from the AR boom as contact was made. Within 5 minutes Ramon gave the boomer a visual signal and the EITAM backed out and went up to the left observation position as Stone offered the jet back to his Dad. "Go ahead Stone, you can do it I will just stay on hot mic and talk you through. But as you descend to precontact, turn your mirrors down so you don't get confused looking backwards while flying forwards...it is a common rookie mistake. I will lean left so you can look over my right shoulder." Chips could see Stone's ungloved hand lowering the mirrors and he could hear his breathing become more rapid. "Turn off you hot-mic Stone, your breathing will just make you nervous". Silence followed a click.
As Stone moved to pre-contact for his first time, he and his father both saw the AR lights blink twice. Stone moved slowly forward until the lights blinked a single. Stone stabilized the F4 and felt a thud as the boom made contact with the AR door 'jaws'. As the jaws gripped the boom, Chips gave an 'override' signal to the boomer and pointed over his left shoulder at Stone indicating to the boomer that the pilot in the aft cockpit was flying. Chips watched the fuel gauge and when they had received sufficient fuel he signaled to the boomer to disconnect. As the boom was withdrawn and stowed Chips said "Nice work Stone, I've closed the AR door and fuel is transferring so just go below and outside EITAM and join on his left wing". As the F4 repositioned in close fingertip on the left wing Chips could see Stone hang his mask on one clip and smile. He deserved to smile, he'd done a good job on his first ever hookup.
A message appeared in Chips radar screen "can we kiss off UPSET". Chips responded to Moshe, in the EITAM left seat. As the EITAM accelerated straight ahead of the tanker, Stone relaxed into fighting wing and an unknown transmitter said "Shalom and happy hunting". Two clicks of a UHF mic was the only response.
As the two ship achieved their 'run for the border' airspeed Stone said "I must be tired, the airplane seems a little mushy".
"It's not you or the jet Stone, look at the IMN". Stone looked down at the Indicated Mach number and saw it jumping all over in the range .93 to .96. "Moshe has that thing right up against the mach and as boundary air separates from various parts of or airfoils the jet will buck around a little. You're doing great so just back off a little, get loose and relax. I see another Dancer-gram is coming on the printer so keep EITAM in sight and call me if you need help." A pair of clicks on his mic indicated that Stone was figuring out how to communicate without communicating. Chips saws the end of message lights and picked up the printout from Dancer to Hamish and himself.
“Mossad is picking up the Sidley Austin drumbeat now in their offices in the Metro as well as some field agents in a place with great chicken curry. Seems USAID and the Condi-Clintonistas are getting fairly sure of themselves and offices at 345 Park Avenue (KPMG-Bristol Squibb) and in One South Dearborn Street (Sidley Women linked to Michelle Obama and Bernardine Dohrn and AXA) in downtown Chicago are getting a little 'chatty'. While digesting the implication of the brief message, he transmitted receipt to both Dancer and Hamish. He looked at the triple mixed GPS position and saw the two ship formation was approaching 68 degrees west. At the same time he heard the DSO transmit 'crickets' from the Defensive Console. Once again Chips slaved his radar to the EITAM DSO display and saw a two ship formation about 120 miles on the nose. He watched their radar tracks and determined they were in a north south CAP at FL370. Looking at the Honeywell Nav-set he saw that Stone had the F4 at precisely 31,000 feet. "Stone, in about 11 minutes expect to set a pair of F16s joining of the left side of EITAM. Before that happens make sure we are on the right side in close fingertip." Another pair of clicks indicated Stone was enjoying himself. Chips' clipper call light flashed and Chips responded "Chips, 68-15 West, make it brief".
For Chips to ask Dancer to make it brief was akin to asking the IDF to be ineffective but Dancer tried. "Chips, copy Hamish, Dirtball at 4th SAM, Heifer at 4th SAM, Spanner recalled to Amsterdam, Dancer boarding KLM in 4 hours. All set for Amsterdam, 4th SAM, and Milwaukee. Dancer, out".

"Chips good copy, out".
"Dad, check nose high for two contrails".

As Stone watched the Green Mountain Boys convert on EITAM flight he saw they crossed flight paths with each other and then joined in Tac spread with the leader to Moshe’s left and Dash 2 6000 feet to the right of Pharaoh’s Phantom. "Why the cross turns Dad?"
"Just a good habit, they were checking each other's six o'clock position, they must have a reason to believe someone else is out and about today. "
As Stone flew formation he heard a new voice on UHF say "Andrews Charlie". Stone saw that Ramon's head and his father's head each looked down at their briefing guides. As Chip's head came up he said "Andrews Charlie is the third option for the arrival at Andrews. Due to good weather and low traffic saturation we will be entering the overhead for Runway 01R and it looks like the Initial Point for the visual overhead pattern is at 1700 feet over 'Clinton'.
"Just a wild guess, but is there any chance that town is a twin city? You know a random pair of names from the Maryland phone book such as Clinton Rubins".
"Good headwork, Stone, but according to the briefing chart it is simply Clinton, and is south and west of intersecting highways. When we get to that point Andrews Charlie indicates we should be in echelon left with us in the lead, EITAM as dash 2 on the left and then Lethal Lady as #3 and Lady 2 as dash-last. The Lethal Lady is aircraft 83-1165 and has more time than any other F16, around 7000 hours. It will be fun to see who's driving. If you hear me say Doobie don't think of Willy Nelson or Skunk Baxter, capeche?"
"I understand dad".
At that point Lethal Lady visually passed the lead to EITAM as Lady 2 joined to Lethal Lady's left. Chips, of course, was thinking of two other lethal ladies who were in the cross hairs of Mossad and Abel Danger. Ramon, in the right seat of EITAM, passed the lead to Chips. Chips understood this was the time to come up on "Huntress control", 318.0, as they crossed the ADIZ. As he placed 318.0 in the UHF he told Stone on hot mic "I've got the jet" as he wiggled the stick. With his palm facing Ramon he 'pushed' the EITAM out into 'fighting wing' as he contacted Huntress on 318.0.
"Showtime check."
As EITAM, and the F16s responded "2,3,4" Chips mentioned to Stone "Showtime was Randy Cunningham and Driscoll's call sign in Vietnam, I thought it sounds better than 'Coors'" which was not wasted on Stone as he realized where Steve Ritchie found employment after the Air Force.
"Huntress, Showtime, 318.0, flight level 310 with 4, squawking 4321".
"Cleared direct to Clinton, maintain flight level 220 until feet dry, maintain 350 until Clinton, cleared single freq approach Andrews Charlie, switch to 349.4, monitor guard, welcome EITAM".
"Showtime, roger all, switch 349.4"
Three clicking mics responded and Showtime flight was now being watched by more than just Huntress and FAA radars. EITAM's DSO was picking up the signature of a NATO AWACS and a pair of CF18 radars. Chips checked the flight in as he started descending as they flew over the coast of the outer shore just north of Accomac, Virginia.
"Showtime".
"2, 3, 4" came the responses in three different voices, two sounding New England-ish and one sounding 'middle eastern'. Chips knew that Ramon was handling the radios as Moshe had learned to sound very western while working in Washington with 'Ben'.
"Andrews, Showtime, flight of 4, Andrews Charlie, code in Dash 2".
"Showtime, cleared Andrews Charlie, monitor guard, Clinton 30 right at 10 miles. Andrews monitoring" came the response from the Andrews command post, indicating that all of Andrews C was in effect and no more communications were necessary prior to landing. As Chips made a sweeping right turn to put Clinton on the nose at 5 miles, Stone noticed the flight was tightening up at his father rolled out on a 010 course, descended to 1700 feet MSL, and had the airspeed set at 450 knots. As Stone looked down the left wingline he saw the windshield of the EITAM and both F16 helmets forming a perfect line. Stone wondered what Moshe might have flown before that made him so 'steady'. Loose lips sink ships. As Stone pondered that question he heard a second flight checking in with the Command Post. "Andrews, Roach 05, point Clinton".
"Roger Roach 05, Andrews Charlie, Showtime and 'the code' in the overhead now.
As the unusual flight of four arrived overhead the 'numbers' of 01R at Andrews, Chips raised 5 fingers and broke hard to the right, adding power to maintain airspeed in the 4 G turn to downwind. The other aircraft took 5 second intervals and broke, with the F16s not pulling very hard as the EITAM wasn't stressed for the hard turns like the Phantom and Falcons were. Moshe did a very nice job, however and rolled out directly behind the F4 on downwind, with a pair of F16s at perfect intervals behind him. As Chips rolled into the groove he saw a green flash from the tower indicating he was cleared to land. As all 4 jets rolled out staggered on the centerline, a follow-me truck led the Phantom and the EITAM to the left and the 4th SAM while a second vehicle quietly led the F16s to the transient alert parking. As Chips turned towards his marshaller at the 4th SAM he saw HMX1 was idling as a Huey Cobra gunship hovered not far away. As the engines were shut down and canopies raised, aircrew stairs were hooked over the canopy rails and Chips and Stone egressed from the Phantom, after having exchanged helmets a second time. As Chips and Stone headed towards the EITAM Hamish followed while a Vice Presidential limousine approached the EITAM surrounded my men in sunglasses. Stone and Chips shook hands as Hamish and Chips were boarding the HMX1 helo. Heifer greeted them at the door and signaled '3' to the HAC in the right seat of the chopper indicating a 3 minute briefing would be sufficient. Hamish and Chips each got the full text as Heifer turned the verbal briefing over to Hamish.
